By Lanford Wilson, Pulitzer Prize winning playwright. A once glamorous, now seedy, condemned, fleabag hotel (with the letter “e” missing from its sign), has become a last resort for society’s misfits. Over the course of a day, we meet the residents who call the Baltimore home. Their conversations weave a poignant, often hilarious mosaic as they contemplate an uncertain future after the hotel is demolished. With humor and heart, their lives compose a lyrical lament for a fading America.
